65th Annual Highland Village Day Concert

The Highland Village Day Concert is a beloved summer tradition on the Cape Breton calendar, and 2026 marks its 65th annual edition. Held at Baile nan Gàidheal / Highland Village — a living-history museum and folklife centre in Iona that celebrates the story, language, and living culture of Nova Scotia Gaels — the concert gathers the community on the museum's scenic hillside overlooking the Bras d'Or Lake for a day of Gaelic music, song, and fellowship.

As a folklife centre devoted to Gaelic Nova Scotia, Highland Village brings the culture to life year-round through milling frolics, céilidhs, guided walks, and living-history programs.
