Detailed Information

Café Caye Mangé is Nova Scotia's first Afro-Caribbean vegan café, opened by Chef Pamela Leonforde at 291 Main Street in downtown Yarmouth. The concept — "un-coffee, desserts, takeout" — reimagines Caribbean flavors entirely plant-based: spiced rotis, stews, and doubles paired with house desserts and caffeine-free "un-coffee" brews. It's a genuine draw on the rural Acadian Shore and a real rarity in rural Nova Scotia.

Hours (per the café's own Facebook page — authoritative): Tue–Thu 11am–8pm, Fri 10am–5pm. Closed Saturday through Monday. Phone 902-881-2197 to preorder — popular items sell out.

The Y Town Tours connection: every Y Town Tours package includes a meal from Café Caye Mangé, so day-trippers off The CAT ferry often taste their first Nova Scotia lunch here. The café operates on the traditional, unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq People.

Two blocks from the Yarmouth waterfront and an easy walk from downtown hotels. Find current hours and menu on their Facebook page; email [email protected].
